The North East’s
Infant Mental Health Hub

The new Infant Mental Health hub for the North East of England is led by Peter Toolan. Details and posts below. If you would like to join the North East hub, select it when you register for AiMH membership. We look forward to hearing from you.

The AiMH UK Infant Mental Health Hubs enable members to connect across professions and levels within geographical areas, to help to develop and co-ordinate our thinking and practice around Infant Mental Health issues in our work. If you would like something posted here, contact your Hub leads on the Hub Discussion Forum (big blue link below).

North East Hub under lockdown

The North East hub has not had any meetings since 2019 but we are now looking to revive the group on a ‘virtual’ platform.

Our treasurer and two other members recently met to transfer the £700 which the NE hub has earned from conferences over a number of years, to a different account making it more likely we can decide how to use this to promote the work of AiMH locally. Past meetings have been hosted by Newcastle Parent Infant Partnership (NEWPIP) / Children North East.

Participants have come from every tier and arena of the early years, health and social care workforce. We are keen to attract new members who can find out about future on-line meetings via this link:

This is the place where we can share news about local IMH events, training, organisations, and share our ideas and resources.
