Join us in celebrating the AiMH UK Awards, a tribute to excellence in infant mental health.

This year’s event features an inspiring presentation by Professor Jane Barlow, focusing on safeguarding babies and promoting their emotional well-being;

‘Relational trauma in infancy involves the infant being traumatised by the interaction with the parent. This may occur as a result of unresolved trauma in the parent, adversely affecting both the parent’s mental states (i.e. mind) and thereby their interaction with their baby. It is one of the key pathways underpinning the intergenerational transmission of trauma. This paper examines what the evidence reveals about safeguarding infants from relational trauma, including what we as practitioners need to do to recognise and treat such interaction’.

The new Best Practice Factsheet will be available to members.

You can still nominate an individual or team for the Awards. For details on how to submit an application see the Awards Page.
