Infant mental health is a foundational aspect of healthy development, yet it often remains a misunderstood or overlooked area. AiMH UK has created CPD Soundbites as a resource to bridge this gap. Designed for all practitioners, early years workers, and educators, these soundbites are bite-sized, easily accessible insights that highlight the essential elements of mental and emotional well-being in infancy. Each soundbite delivers clear, research-backed messages on the importance of early bonding, responsiveness, emotional regulation, and secure attachment. By focusing on these critical areas, the soundbites aim to enhance understanding and foster practices that support the mental health and emotional resilience of young children. This resource serves not only as an educational tool but also as a practical guide for nurturing positive parent-child relationships from the very start. In using these soundbites, AiMH UK hopes that these brief but regular soundbites will ensure that all IMH practitioners are fully up-to-date in terms of their practice and they are also linked to our IMH CPD Programme https://imhcpd.aimh.uk/

Our first in the series is based on ‘Professional Love in Early Years Settings.
