‘How to Help Parents Support their Baby’s Emotional and Brain Development’

We are delighted that Rosie Renshaw, Director of GroBrain will be taking our next Skills Box session.

GroBrain is a parent-friendly programme which supports parents to give their babies the best start in life. Over 3000 infant mental health and early years practitioners have been trained to use GroBrain in their practice. The GroBrain programme supports attuned, responsive, caregiving in the first 3 years of life.

Please join us to hear Rosie speak and learn:

  • How to make brain-science concepts easy for parents to understand
  • Simple brain-building and connection-building exercises to put into practice with parents and their babies
  • How the GroBrain programme supports the development of healthy parent baby relationships

Whether you’re a practitioner working with parents, or simply passionate about early childhood development, this session is not to be missed!

Rosie Renshaw Bio

Rosie is a child and family practitioner with a wide range of experience working with children aged 0-18 and their families. She has delivered intensive therapeutic services and family support to children on the edge of care, in care, post-adoption and excluded from education, in a range of local authority and voluntary sector services.

Before joining Grobrain in 2012, Rosie specialised in working with families antenatally and postnatally facing multiple and complex adversities, to support families to keep their baby with them where possible. Using her family therapy experience, Rosie has worked with families experiencing mental health difficulties, domestic abuse, substance misuse and in the safeguarding arena. This included being part of the Parents under Pressure RCT evaluation, a collaboration between NSPCC and Professor Jane Barlow.

Rosie brings to GroBrain her talent for translating complex science into practice and devising engaging training techniques alongside her own experience of being a parent.
